As you may know I have been having around 12/350 colours of filament coming in wrong or with errors. I do also get some colours which shift shades over time.
For Now I can Guarantee each batch of 50 or 100 will be the same colour throughout that batch and the roll will be the same colour throughout the roll, I can also guarantee that each order placed with multiple rolls will be the same colour within that order.
I cannot AT PRESENT Guarantee colour consistency across multiple batches, Siddament currently has 98 factory provided default colours and around 350+ custom colours with more being added monthly, this is what keeps siddament special but its also the biggest pain point as of recent shipments. After July I should be able to get 97-98% accuracy between batches but this might take longer.
I am flying to China in a few days to sit down with the over 10+ manufactures and finalize colours with pantone booklets to make sure they stop changing as much.
Almost all factories I have asked have said the same thing which is batch to batch the colours will vary and there really is no way to solve it other than buying 1000 rolls per colour to ensure consistency for a longer period.
Most of my colours are pretty on point and barely shift but some shift alot alot. I will be introducing new real photos colour corrected and checked each batch (kill me now) , there will also be a new page shortly which will automatically update whenever a new photo is uploaded, basically this page will be a reference book to see how the colours shift overtime helping you make a better decision when purchasing rolls. The renders will be staying for the first image but most of them will be redone in around 2 months once the new colour correct filaments make their way over.
The issue is whenever there is a change in colour it takes around 20-30 mins to render edit and post a new image during the restock, me being colour blind as fuck to reds and oranges does not help this as you may have already seen with reds already on the site being a bit different to the actual photos.
I want to apologise for the constant changes in the colours, by July I hope to have everything stablised and new suppliers for some of the colours which always end up wrong.
I know how frustrating it is to order a colour then have it turn up wrong and then having to change your own product photos. This change is being done ASAP as I have been getting lots and lots of larger orders from more "Professional" companies which need consistency which I am good at but lacking in alot of colours.
fixing this colour issue will also allow me to open up preorders and expand 2-3x as fast! so this is a big motivator to get this issue fixed, I need your money.

You are doing a great job making available a great selection of colours. Will you be displaying the Pantone colour as well ?
I understand that what colour you order from the factory is not always what you get, but it would be very helpful to get the physical representation of the colour (for those with Pantone colour selectors :)
