ABS Filament Australia: Full Range and What We Stock

ABS variants in stock

  • Standard ABS: the engineering classic, ~95 C continuous heat
  • ABS V2: updated formulation, consistent spool weight
  • Matte ABS: low-sheen finish over the heat-tolerant base
  • ABS GF: glass-fibre reinforced for added stiffness
  • Infuse ABS: pigment-rich variant
  • CTRL V ABS Pro V5: alternative formulation

Print at a glance

  • Nozzle: 240 to 260 C
  • Bed: 95 to 110 C with ABS slurry or glue stick
  • Enclosure: strongly recommended (warps without)
  • Layer fan: off or below 20 percent after first 30 layers
  • Brim: 8 to 12 mm on tall or large prints

Best uses for ABS

  • Tool housings and electronics enclosures (indoor)
  • Lego-style functional bricks
  • Automotive interior trim and panels
  • Vapour-smoothable display pieces (acetone smoothing)
  • RC car bodies and drone parts
  • Parts that face indoor heat (under-bonnet, near LEDs)

ABS vs ASA

ASA has the same print difficulty as ABS but is UV-stable, so it survives outdoor sun. ABS yellows and embrittles in sunlight over months. Pick ASA for anything outdoor; ABS for indoor heat-tolerant parts.
