Spool weight reality
Advertised 1 kg spools often contain less filament than 1 kg, with the rest being the spool itself. Common spool tare weights range from 100 to 350 g. A 'cheap' 1 kg spool with 850 g of filament costs more per gram than a premium spool with 1 kg of filament.
