we admit when Shit Goes Wrong and when shit gets f***ed...

Shittament Delay 12/01/2024

Shittament has hit a hurdle and so has the burnt titanium abs, due to the ongoing industrial action, holidays and shutdowns at the Sydney port, there is an 8 Day congestion as can be seen on any ship tracking software, so the ship has dropped the shittament off at Melbourne were it will catch another ship to Sydney, this has caused me to incure additional 600USD in cost (complete BS but understandable) but more importantly this means the shittament is pushed back 12 days as can be seen in the photo of the tracking to the left, to keep up to date please check the Track containers tab for any shifts in ETA, customers will be contacted if they want to split shipments, cancel orders or wait for the shittament to ship together.

Matte Black PETG too light of colour 29/12/2023

The matte black petg seems to be a charcoal/ash black on this batch, this will be made darker on the next batch

UPDATE: It was a few rolls out of the entire batch from what can be seen so far, this is not a concern anymore!

Matte RED PLA and Red ABS now RAL 3003

The red colour has now been changed to a deep Ral3003 red making it much more red

ASA Finally BLACK! 29/12/2023

ASA Black is finally a dark black instead of a blueish hue!

New paper tape being too weak on boxing 11/9/2023

The new paper tape seems to be failing in transit, it’s unfortunate as this new tape is fully biodegradable with soy based ink for the logo, plant based reinforcement fibers for the strength, recycled paper for the tape and gum based glue for the adhesive, due to the cold weather when the boxes are kept at the depot they seem to be getting covered with slight frost or morning dew drops causing the tape to reactivate and unstick from the box.

It is unfortunate as this tape does cost around 1000$ for all the rolls I have ordered but temporarily we will be switching back to BOPP based tape until we figure out how to make the paper tape more reliable

PREORDERS MISSING ITEMS 11/9/2023

so far 3/340 preorders have had some sort of errors, this being the spools being transparent pla instead of tpu for example, if you have had a mixed up roll or are missing rolls please let us know

the issue was caused by the time crunch of me going on a last minute holiday and my parents packing orders in low lighting, with the packing slips being so small and having funky looking ink it’s hard to see the material hence the mixups took place

Matte ABS Updates 24/06/2023

Issue: The matte abs is wet Please dry the matte abs before using it for 3-6 hours at 50-70c, also the matte abs is not as matte as I would have liked, its more of a dulled down color.

Do not buy the matte abs unless you are willing to and can dry the filament.

The material is amazing once dried and printed giving it a flat colour look, we will be making it matter on the next shipment to match our PLA level matte finish

Plastic vs Cardboard? 24/06/2023

Issue: Some spools of filament have come on plastic instead of cardboard. Usually we only use cardboard for all core materials and Plastic for CF materials,

TPU will always be coming in plastic spools to ensure the cardboard wont interfere with it. the new CF materials will be staying on cardboard as they are perfect at the moment.

On this shipment some Black PETG, Matte ABS's and various CF PETG rolls are on plastic spools, the filament is the same quality and consistent. starting August All spools will be moving completely to cardboard and these spools will be AMS compatible.

Sendle instead of Auspost? 22/06/2023

Issue: Due to the rate increase on Auspost, some Auspost orders were sent out using sendle and we covered the shipping cost as we promised a set rate during our preorder period, with Auspost being unreliable with thier rates we will be looking at alternative delivery methods. for the time being Auspost will be staying active but this option may be removed at anytime.

Lumpy ASA + Blueish colour 2/05/2023

Issue: On this first batch from 3 months ago the factory added the wrong additives and didn’t flush the machine properly leading to slight variations in the first 10 rolls of the black ASA, 7 have been accounted for so 3 lumpy rolls remain in circulation, 40 rolls are perfectly fine

Resolution: The next batch of ASA has been colour matched to be as dark as the ABS and hence it should no longer have the blueish tint. Regarding the lumpy inconsistency this was the first time this factory made ASA and rest assured the next batches wont have any issues. If you do have a lumpy roll please send me a email via the contact form and a refund will be issued.

Sea Shipping Delays 13/04/2023

Issue: The sea shipping company gave us wrong etas, instead of the filament arriving instore on the 14/04/2023 its slated to arrive on the 18/04/2023

Prevention: We have changed forwarders for the May batch back to the original company as they are back in business after their holiday.

ASA CF BATCH 1 ISSUES 23/02/2023

Issue: Reports of ASA CF spools falling apart after drying. This is caused by weak glue holding the spool together and this only impacts ASA CF Batch 1 orders only.

Resolution: Please print this Spool Saver pt 1 and Spool Saver pt 2 to save any current spools from being damaged.

Prevention:
Batch 2 onwards the spools for CF materials from this supplier will be made of plastic to prevent this issue happening again.

If your spool has already fallen apart or is having issues, please contact for a refund.

P3D Spool Failure due to Polymaker dry box 6/11/2022

Due to the size of polymaker spool holders, the P3D spool slips in between the rollers causing a jam, this has only happend once and is not a concern to other spools.

Though we have changed the spool style and now the spool is up to 35% stronger and now can be used in the polymaker dry box.
