Prusa INDX 4-Tool Conversion Kit for CORE One/+
Prusa INDX 4-Tool Conversion Kit for CORE One/+
Coming Soon
Turn your Prusa CORE One into a true multi material machine. The INDX 4-Tool Conversion Kit adds the Bondtech INDX passive toolchanger to a printer you already own. Roughly 12 second tool changes, induction heated nozzles, and about 13 milligrams of purge per swap instead of a wipe tower.
This is a conversion kit, not a new machine. Install the Smart Head, mount the tool docks, load your filaments, and the printer does a quick calibration. Same printer, considerably more capability.

Why INDX?
- ~12 second true toolchange. Measured from the last extrusion on one material to the first extrusion on the next, on the model itself. No wipe towers, no purge blocks.
- 13 mg of waste per swap (0.013 g). Less than a grain of rice. Prusa rates it at 5x less waste than the most efficient systems and 30x less than standard filament rewinding systems.
- Induction heated nozzles. The Smart Head carries the coil, so a nozzle goes from cold to printing temperature in seconds and cools just as fast when parked. No oozing or stringing from idle nozzles.
- Hardened high flow nozzles on every tool. Each passive tool ships with a hardened 0.4 mm CHT nozzle as standard. Hardened by default means carbon fibre, glass filled and other abrasive filaments print without swapping hardware first, and without chewing out a brass nozzle the way a shared single nozzle system does.
- Passive toolheads. No electronics on the individual tools, so adding a fifth, sixth or eighth tool means adding a nozzle and a dock, not another full print head.
- Dynamic Dual Drive (DX) extruder. Drive gear tension adjusts itself, so you can move from TPU to rigid fibre filled filaments without retuning.
- Advanced nozzle wiper. Residue is cleared before printing resumes, and the micro blob is deposited into a purge collector rather than onto your bed.
- Toolhead offset calibration in ~15 seconds per tool. A dual target sensor mounted outside the print area, about 20x faster than the stock XL routine, plus LoadCell first layer calibration.
- Doors closed at all times. The CORE One ventilation system is retained, so PLA and PETG print with the chamber shut.
- Open filament system. Any brand, any spool size, any 1.75 mm filament up to 300 C. No proprietary RFID chips.
- Prusa USS Drybox compatible. INDX spoolholders mount to the Drybox, all eight of them if you want.
What's in the box (4-Tool Kit)
- 1 x Smart Head (induction coil, DX extruder, contactless temperature sensor)
- 4 x passive tools with hardened CHT nozzles (0.4 mm as standard)
- INDX Mounting Plate, with 4 further positions ready for future upgrades
- PTFE tubing and all mounting parts
- Top cover with automatic ventilation
- 4 x spoolholders
Material support
PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, PC, PCCF, PA, TPU, PVA, BVOH, and any other 1.75 mm filament up to 300 C.
Because every material has its own dedicated nozzle and path, there is no shared melt zone: no cross contamination, no colour bleed, TPU alongside PETG in the same print, and different nozzle sizes in the same job.

Compatibility
Compatible with: Prusa CORE One and CORE One+.
If you are on a base CORE One, the CORE One+ (Gen 2) upgrade is required alongside the INDX. Prusa ships that upgrade bundled with some INDX orders, and it can also be bought separately and fitted at the same time. Talk to us before ordering and we will confirm what your machine needs.
Not compatible with: CORE One L, and no MK, MINI, XL, HT90 or SL series printer.
Your existing CORE One print sheets, filament collection, PrusaSlicer profiles and Prusa Connect setup all carry over unchanged.
4-Tool or 8-Tool?
Both kits contain the same Smart Head and the same docking hardware. The only difference is how many passive tools and spoolholders come in the box. The 4-Tool Kit is the starter: four nozzles now, with the mounting plate already prepared for four more whenever you want them.
